How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is one the most valuable items in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers to evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and gives them a chance to grow in their Pokedex.
This item is rare but it is available by spinning a Photo Disk at a Pokestop or as a prize at special occasions. What does this item do?
Components
Upgrade components are things that can be slotted into trinkets, weapons or gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect while the item is being used. They are an essential element in crafting and can be gathered by salvaging or bought from vendors. They can also be found in the form of drops, whether from enemies or in item spheres. They can be used to upgrade armor or weapons through an upgrade slot.
Using upgrade components to maximize the experience gained from upgrading equipment and weapons is crucial to achieve the highest level of progression in the game. The multiplier of experience of an upgraded item is increased when it is combined with organic components, while mechanical components reduce it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will maximize the experience you acquire and make it easier to reach the next level.
It's crucial to understand how the upgrade system works to maximize the benefits of your upgrades. The system keeps an ongoing total of experience for the component you're upgrading. Each component has an multiplier of experience that can be positive or negative. When the total reaches an amount that is certain the system resets it to zero.
Additionally the amount of time gained from every upgrade component is affected by the hidden rank of the item that is upgraded and its multiplier of experience. The higher-ranked items will be more difficult to upgrade, while the lower-ranked ones are easier to obtain.
It is important to remove any fasteners or connections that hold the old component. Save them for later use in a parts tray for easy identification and safe-keeping. Reconnect all wires and cables, and connect the power supply. Then, test the computer by turning it on. If everything is connected properly, the computer should boot normally. This is an important step to ensure that the new hardware is compatible with your existing systems and will work seamlessly.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great tool to enhance your gear, but you must know how to use it. Each glyph has a range of values that it can enhance the substatus by increasing its rank, and higher-ranking Glyphs have more powerful values. Choose wisely because you can only upgrade Glyphs once. Glyphs are only available once, which means they'll disappear after you have used them on an object or artifact.

The best symbols are those that increase the likelihood of rolling an affix with the desired tier. They are typically found on the most expensive weapons, armor and accessories. They are also available on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, but they can be difficult to find.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them at the Trading Post. Certain glyphs are available for use only once some are not, while others are permanently. They are a great choice for items that need to be re-rolled frequently. The Glyph of Hope allows you to increase your chances of getting an affix that is specific by creating a magical effect on an item.
Some glyphs can be used to alter existing affixes. This is often seen on gloves and boots. Each can host four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight, for instance, changes a prefix into an experimental affix. This is a useful tool to have if you want to maximize the damage output or want to make sure you'll get a high-quality affix for a specific slot.
Once you've reached level 50, the shape of the game dramatically changes. Instead of having to rely on the campaign, you'll need to navigate the complicated Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds to ensure that your game is as efficient as it can be.
The most effective glyphs are ones that are compatible with your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph which increases damage to enemies who are vulnerable. Other good glyphs include the Control Glyph, which boosts the damage dealt to enemies who are stunned, frozen or slow. Each glyph has its own radius which increases as it is upgraded. This makes glyphs a great option to upgrade your gear late in the game.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are items for upgrading that allow players to alter the attributes of an item. This can be done within the item window by selecting an item, then pressing the green button, which is accompanied by the arrows that circle. The cost of the reroll is contingent on the rarity of the item.
Reroll tokens can be found in the Mystery Box or as rare drops from skulled monsters. They can be purchased from the Trader. They can also be obtained through Event Items and can be obtained from other players. They can be used to reroll weapons rings, and armors in increments of two. Each reroll token gives players the chance to roll for a new attribute, that could be higher or lower than the previous one.
In addition being able to roll upgrades Reroll tokens can also be used to recycle items. Recycling an item will give players a certain number of points, which are added to the level gauge for the item, depending on its popularity. This is a great way to dispose of old obsolete equipment that hasn't been upgraded.
The token for rerolling can be used to give new weapon characteristics. The player is able to accept or deny these traits. The player is able to offer a total of six items at once and the number of choices increases as the item's level and rarity increases. This option is accessible via the Upgrade tab on the forge.
A reroll token can also be used to roll the set bonus of an item. It is triggered when three or more items in the same set are equipped on the unit. The set bonus is only applicable to units that belong to the same class, and cannot be applied to units that belong to different classes.
There are a lot of other upgrades in the game which can be rerolled for example, the recipe items. These items aren't sold in the shop or via Rerolls, but rather are transferred to the non-droppable Pool when players select an item on a Food Card that requires new ingredients or equipment. The reroll token can be used to reroll these extra bonuses, but the base stats (including all upgrades) and level remain unchanged.

This will allow the player to reach gear breakpoints, which increase the chances of rerolling certain affixes.
